Poetry by Anni
Andrea Lotz
Welcome. As you walk alongside me through these poems,
I hope you too find your way from the gravel into good.
I am a speech therapist by training, a mother by calling, and a poet and photographer by grace.
I left my career to raise our three children — a choice I have never regretted, though it has not always been an easy road. Somewhere along the way, life handed me the kind of seasons that strip you back to the bone. Chronic illness. Years of fighting for a child who the world could not quite see or understand. Advocating, homeschooling, pushing against systems that weren't built for him — until finally, watching him flourish in his own extraordinary way. My Jazz Note is written for him.
I know what it is to walk a road that feels lonely even when people are beside you. I know what it is to hurt in ways that don't always show. I know what it is to search for solid ground when everything beneath your feet feels like gravel.
And I know what it is to find grace there.
Gravel & Good has been growing in me for ten years. It is not a space about suffering — it is a space about the faith journey through it. About finding the sacred in the ordinary. About the slow, stubborn, beautiful work of finding the good.
These pages are a witness to that journey.
I am glad you are here.
